The Shadow of the Colossus film from Sony Pictures has a director. According to Deadline, Josh Trank has signed with Sony Pictures to develop and direct the film, which is a live-action adaptation of the hit game. Kevin Misher is in line to produce the film. In addition, the studio is currently interviewing writers to work on the film.

Trank directed Chronicle and is apparently know leading the effort to put the stunning Shadow of Colossus game on to the big screen. He is also developing Fantastic Four for Fox and the Spider-Man spinoff Venom for Sony Pictures. He is reportedly a fan of Shadow of the Colossus, so it will be interesting to see his take on the massively enormous and lonely Team Ico game.

COULD be amazing, or could be really bad. I'll keep an eye out on this, though.
