GRAND THEFT AUTO IV VS. JOURNEY
The Contenders:

Grand Theft Auto IV
Before Red Dead Redemption came along, Grand Theft Auto IV was the absolute pinnacle of sandbox gameplay. For many, it still is. The intoxicating blend of wreaking havoc in a beautifully-replicated New York City and the series' trademark humor was nothing less than gaming nirvana. However, some still maintain that much of the innocence and playful freedom of the series' PlayStation 2 installments was lost with a turn over to more mature storytelling. Whatever the case, it's hard to deny the indelible mark left by GTA IV, even if it DID debut as a multi-platform release.

Journey
thatgamecompany surprised us all when they topped the already artistically brilliant fl0w and flower with a game (experience?) that drew emotions like no other. Journey is a powerful, albeit short, odyssey that subverts convention and offers subtle lessons on the importance of companionship as we find our way in this world and life. At least, that's what some think - Journey is wide open for interpretation and one of the best things you'll find on the PlayStation Network.
Which of these two games deserves to move ever closer to the crown? Cast your votes in the official polling thread, and be sure to vote in all our match-ups to decide the Best PS3 Game Ever!

Dude this isnt even apples and oranges. It's like apples and meat. Both games were good in different ways. I wish Journey were longer but for that reason and that reason alone I enjoyed gta4 more. It offered more as a game. When it comes to artistry and subte genius, of course Journey destroys GTA. And it accomplished alot in terms of visual and gameplay for an indie title. Meh...I'll give it to Journey I guess. Doesnt seem fair though.

On the basis GTA IV wasn't as good as San Andreas in many ways and the stroy didn;'t grasp my attention like Red Deads, I have to go with Journey.
