Are you interested in learning how to play bass? Paul would be happy! Ubisoft has all you wannabe bass slappers covered with upcoming DLC for Rocksmith. The Rocksmith Bass Expansion will be available on Aug. 14 for both PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions. This new add-on content will cost you $29.99 USD and it gives bass tracks to all 53 on-disc tracks.

In addition to the on-disc tracks, all purchased DCL tracks will get the bass treatment, too. The tracks will be automatically updated and instantly available. Just like what Rocksmith did for guitar players, so too will the bass expansion back teach musicians of all skill level techniques like 2-finger plucking, slapping, and popping with dedicated technique challenges, tutorial videos, and mini-games.

You don’t even need a real bass to play the DCL. You can use any 6-string to emulate a 4-string bass by using the 1/4'” input jack.
