PlayStation 3 owners in Europe were today a little miffed to discover that Counter-Strike: Global Offensive was conspicuously absent from the weekly PlayStation Store update this afternoon.

The game, which is available in the U.S. for Sony’s platform as well as PC and Xbox 360 worldwide, failed to put in an appearance in today’s EU store update as planned.

Sony has since acknowledged the game's absence and issued a formal statement on the matter:

“Unfortunately counter strike has not been made available on the European PlayStation store today, and we apologise to those of you who were looking forward to playing it. We hope to resolve this issue as quickly as possible, and will let you know if the situation changes.”

To be honest, the console version is nothing to write home about. Played the PS+ game trial today and I'd take COD over CS anyday. Just MHO.

johnodd4 your ignorance is amazing. its what i love about the internet and free speech. anyone can type stuff on here and think it is truth. lets make a couple of points here :

    1. there isnt a european government.

    2. Harry Potter and the Philosophers stone (see that i spelled this correctly...pardon the pun). written by J.K. Rowling and given this title. This was then changed To sorcerers (once again spelled correctly). this was changed because the publishing company in america did not think that americans would be able to understand what a philosophers stone actually was (connotations with alchemy).
