Kenji Kaido, the Team ICO producer behind ICO and Shadow of the Colossus, has confirmed that he has parted company with Sony Computer Entertainment Japan.
In a tweet, Kaido says that his "plans for the future are still undecided". While we wish Kaido the best in his future endeavors, this news does not bode well for Team ICO's upcoming title, The Last Guardian.
Kenji Kaido's departure follows that of director and lead designer Fumito Ueda, who is now working with Japan Studio on a freelance basis and will cease ties once The Last Guardian is completed. No one knows when that will be however, since the oft-delayed game has been in troubled development for some time and no release date is yet confirmed.

@1 There are technical issues, and they would probably spoil something major or dash our hopes in some form. Otherwise, they found out it was going to need to be on the PS4 and require a major overhaul.
