It's been a long wait for PlayStation Vita owners eager to play their favorite PSOne Classics on the go, but the day has finally arrived. Our own Paul Kelly has confirmed that Firmware 1.8 is now live in Europe, and PSU reader freestylinyoshi confirms that the update is also live in North America.

Firmware 1.8, alongside PSOne Classic support, also offers button control of the Vita's UI and Cross-Controller support for an upcoming LittleBigPlanet 2 update.

If you're able to download the firmware in any other territory, let us know in the comments below. Happy gaming!
