Capcom announced today that it will release a wave of free downloadable content for its new franchise title Resident Evil 6.
The disputable action-horror game will receive via a title update which will include a new difficulty. We reported earlier this week that Capcom may have included the No Hope difficulty on-disc, but we can happily say now that this harder game mode will be part of the upcoming free content update.
Alongside the difficulty increase, the Ada Wong portion of the story will gain a parter, though the partner is still unknown. This means that players will be able to co-op with friends to take on her part of the story.
The release date on the patch is still unknown, but when that information arises, PSU will have that information for you right here.

I'm guessing they had problems at launch with "No Hope difficulty" and patched it.

This is a very good look for Capcom right now with all their DLC controversy. If they continued to add/unlock content over time to show support for the game and keep people playing it, for free, this could help change their image.
