Rockstar North’s Leslie Benzies has expressed the company’s desire to combine all cities featured in previous Grand Theft Auto titles into one game, allowing players to fly between them at will.
The comments come following a chinwag with DigitalTrends in light of the release of Grand Theft Auto: Vice City for iOS and Android.
Said Benzies: “Of course at some point we would like to have one big world containing all our cities and let the player fly between them and revisit their favourite areas, and in that context reimagining Vice City would be very interesting.
While we can’t say for sure if this ambitious goal will ever be realised, we at least have GTA V to look forward to. The game marks Rockstar’s most ambitious sandbox title ever, featuring a game world that eclipses the size of GTA: San Andreas, GTA IV AND Red Dead Redemption’s environments combined.
Benzies’ comments on a possible reimagining of Vice City, however, sounds intriguing; would a remake be of interest to you, PSU readers? Let us know in the comments section below.
GTA V is due out in spring 2013 for PS3 and Xbox 360.

I just bought Vice City to play on my tablet because I loved it back in the day. And even though I am replaying it, I would still go out and buy a remade version in high definition from rockstar for $60.
And this is coming from a person who buys only 3-4 games a year.
