Rockstar wants to feature all GTA cities in one game

Rockstar North’s Leslie Benzies has expressed the company’s desire to combine all cities featured in previous Grand Theft Auto titles into one game, allowing players to fly between them at will.

The comments come following a chinwag with DigitalTrends in light of the release of Grand Theft Auto: Vice City for iOS and Android.

Said Benzies: “Of course at some point we would like to have one big world containing all our cities and let the player fly between them and revisit their favourite areas, and in that context reimagining Vice City would be very interesting.

While we can’t say for sure if this ambitious goal will ever be realised, we at least have GTA V to look forward to. The game marks Rockstar’s most ambitious sandbox title ever, featuring a game world that eclipses the size of GTA: San Andreas, GTA IV AND Red Dead Redemption’s environments combined.

Benzies’ comments on a possible reimagining of Vice City, however, sounds intriguing; would a remake be of interest to you, PSU readers? Let us know in the comments section below.

GTA V is due out in spring 2013 for PS3 and Xbox 360.

Some kind of multiplayer MMO type thing where we can fly from Liberty to Vice to San Andreas? Count me in! If it is a drop-in, drop-out kinda gameplay like Red Dead, it'd be a sure fire win!

I would love that! Just hope that we can actually FLY, not just selecting to go there and watch a load screen. And I mean actually driving a jet there, or getting one to fly for you and you can skip it if you want.

DO IT!!!! Pretty sure this is what most fans have been waiting for since san andreas. Remember the mission where you go back to liberty city to shoot up that restaurant? Yea... lets get that done.

I just bought Vice City to play on my tablet because I loved it back in the day. And even though I am replaying it, I would still go out and buy a remade version in high definition from rockstar for $60.

And this is coming from a person who buys only 3-4 games a year.

It would be amazing, but given how long Rockstar take to make a game, we may have a long long wait to play this
