Lasombra: What is your proudest platinum? Why? Was it your hardest?

Jenkem: Might sound lame, but I’m going to say free realms. It’s my rarest, and really takes a certain amount of self loathing to achieve. Not once in the 150 hours did I even begin to have fun once.

Lasombra: Do you have a trophy goal for the year? If so, how far are you along in it?

Jenkem: Never have had a goal and never will. I do enjoy seeing how high I can get on PSNProfiles.com and sites like that, even with all the cheaters.

I do have a few gaming related goals for the year. Before the end of the year I want to no continue Addams Family for the NES and I want to have a no death run on Air Zonk for the Turbografx 16.

Lasombra: Do you believe gamers should be allowed to make trophy hunting teams? Why or why not?

Jenkem: No, I actually think that that is super lame. With that being said, I haven’t earned every trophy on my account. I have a roommate and he has played a few games on my profile like the NCAA footballs and GT5 and NBA2K's and games like that. Maybe 10 games or so? That being said most of those games sit on my profile at 30% or so, and none of them are platinumed. I’ve earned all but maybe 200 trophies on my account.

It would be cooler if the leaderboards differentiated between individuals and teams. We all can dream.

Lasombra: Do you think Sony should create a world database with every user’s PSN trophy info for all to see? Why or why not?

Jenkem: Sure. I don’t see why not. It might get more people into trophy hunting, which would be cool.

Lasombra: What tips do you have for someone trying to reach the next level and going after a difficult platinum?

Jenkem: Closest thing I can give to a tip is if you’re really trying to grind out a bunch of trophies is buy energy drinks in bulk.

Lasombra: Regardless of the system, what pre-trophy game would you auto-buy if it was released on the PS3 with trophy support?

Jenkem: Oh god I could go on and on and on with games but I won’t do that. I’ll just go on and on. LOL.

Auto purchases would include.....Panzer Dragoon Saga, Earthbound, M.U.S.H.A., Magical Chase (ESPECIALLY MAGICAL CHASE!!!!) the Lunar series, any Pokémon game, Radiant Silvergun, Sunset Riders, Survival Kids, Air Zonk, Symphony of the Night, Bangai -O, Cannon Spike, Mega Man Legends, Smash TV, Mutant League Football, Mutant League Hockey, Megaman 1, 2, 3, & 6 (Fuck you 4 &5!!!!), Snatcher, Magic Knight Rayearth, Powerstone 1 & 2, and many many more

Lasombra: Recently you were in a marathon trophy competition. How did you motivate yourself, other than weed, to grind through all the Disney titles to take top place?

Jenkem: I’ve always been really competitive. I set my mind to it and I did it. I Just wanted to win really badly, I couldn’t really tell you why.

There have been a few team competitions, and we would always place high, but we would never win. So I guess I maybe was a little bitter over that, because I felt like I needed to win as soon as I heard about it

Lasombra: If services like Gamefly didn't exist would you have been as gung-ho about being a trophy whore, or would you have stuck to games you enjoyed because it cost you money?

Jenkem: To an extent. You can also take advantage of GameStop’s return policy to whore trophies, so I suppose without Gamefly I would be limited to what my local GameStop had.

Pretty much you have 7 days to return a GameStop game for any reason. So I go in all the time and say "I didn’t know Shrek was going to suck...." and swap it out for some other shitfest. Ill then rinse and repeat the process until I feel like it’s been 20 dollars well spent. Hell, I even get a game I like at the end. Haha
