Powered by the Android Jelly Bean OS, the recently-launched Samsung GALAXY Camera combines high-quality photography features with social connectivity.

In the latest advertising campaign, James Franco, best known for his starring role on Freaks and Geeks, demonstrates some of the features that make the Samsung GALAXY Camera stand out from the crowd. One of the highlights is 3G/4G and Wi-Fi connectivity, which allows you to upload photos to the web and social network sites instantly and save all your photos in the cloud, via Dropbox.

The Photo Wizard function allows users to tweak their pictures in a variety of ways via the intuitive touchscreen interface, including the ability to crop images, while the Buddy Photo Share allows you to tag faces and immediately send them to multiple friends with the tap of a button. There’s a nice slow motion video option too so you can capture intimate or funny moments, while the 21X optical zoom means you can get really close in on the action.

The Samsung GALAXY Camera boasts an impressive 16-megapixel, a 4.77 inch HD Super Clear Touch Display, a 1.4Ghz Quad Core Processor, 65 powerful editing features and a host of professional camera modes, including Action Freeze, so you can freeze fast-moving scenes. The design is eye-catching and the combination of Android apps and professional camera modes should be ideal for those snappers who want to get high quality photos online in an instance.

For more information on the Samsung GALAXY camera, which is available from a various retailers, visit the official website. You can also keep up-to-date via the official Facebook and YouTube channels.

    A new low for PSU.

@1 Let's hope they do not cover the next XBOX, like they do(have been?) with the current one. Seeing the release date of the 360 version of some Bethesda expansion, when a PS3 version is up in the air, was weird(and a bit disgusting).

I'm guessing this is their way of battling ad-blocking add-ons for browsers...or simply greed. Posting PSN store updates would have been nice, though.

@1 I guess you would rather the site not exist, then? The reality is, sponsored posts allow us to invest more money in the site - boosting our long-term health and hopefully allowing for the kinds of changes and improvements that would benefit our readers. I assure everyone, "greed" is the LAST thing going on here.

@ 2: You realize you're the only person that makes comments about PSU supposedly being in bed with Microsoft simply because the editors report on the other platforms a PS3 title might be releasing on, right?

@3 Come on man, I run plenty of sites myself and make a ton of cash (way more than enough to cover servers costs, renewals and whatnot) without doing things like this.

@4 Blacksite, To be honest, I just don't see why they don't ditch the PSU name and just call it GU as in "GAMING UNIVERSE" .   there are more pro Xbox users as well as mutli console users on this website compared to PS3 users and the forums are pretty clear with that with the lack of people even in them in the first place.   Might as well just cover all the platforms.

This is a weird post, lol, but I actually checked this camera out a few weeks ago, the entire back of it is a touchscreen - so it's like a smartphone with data service that takes really good photos!

Anyway, I also don't get why people PMS at the slightest MENTION of the games releasing on other consoles, that is ALL they do, and who cares?? They just say "the game releases on PS3, VITA, and xbox on [date]. Ohhhhh, let's boycott PSU! LMAO, screw off the site.

"Seeing the release date of the 360 version of some Bethesda expansion, when a PS3 version is up in the air, was weird(and a bit disgusting)."

THAT IS THE TRUTH!!! What ON EARTH do you want them to say?? Do you want them to LIE about it? Do you want them to censor and half inform their readers? Do you want them to trash the Xbox for getting it first like some crappy biased forum post? It is a well known fact that the PS3 version of the game is having serious issues while the Xbox version gets every DLC release with no issue. Unlike you, the editors of this website actually clearly well read about the ENTIRE gaming industry and not just the PlayStation, which is an EXTREMELY SMART thing for an editor to do! Stop living your sheltered and censored wannabe alternate reality and live with the clear facts for once. I always hear you and similar others moan and complain about the dumbest crap on this site...

Oh Come on, stop complaining! Sponsorship is necessary to ensure that their spendable income doesn't fizz out, at least PSU wrote 'Sponsored Post' up top, most sites would have this as a 'preview'... And would people stop complaining that they write ps3,360 for multiplatform games? The truth is better than a lie of omission. Would any of you say otherwise?

    @4 Why would I care?

They neglected to post the PSN store update(again), but cover(covered?) the platform of another company. That is a big fail!

@7 I have said this before. They may as well just change the name, since they obviously want to cover the other platforms as well. Keeping the current name just sort of sits wrong...

@10 With a name like "PlayStation Universe", there should be no coverage of other platforms, if it can be helped. Pretty simple.

@ 11: You clearly don't, DigitalBeast. You persist with the same nasty comments on a new account. Like how Lol_Lmao trashes GTA every chance he gets. I wonder if you two will ever get tired of it.

@ 12: It's really nothing to get worked up about. StevenW said these sponsored posts will expire after a day or two in his announcement on the forums.

It's perfectly ok to advertise on your site and at least it is a Sony item. Not sure why so many people are upset about this article. I find the phone interesting and really appreciate this site. A fact: I use psu.com to find out more information on PS3 stuff than the playstation website. And for that I thank you.

Because they're making enough off ads anyway, it's just PSU being greedy and pocketing more cash. PSU was a MUCH better site 2007-2010. And lol I never realised that was DigitalBeast
