Killzone 4 will launch with PS4 in 2013, says industry source

An anonymous industry source has indicated to Videogamer.com that Killzone 4 is currently being prepped by Guerrilla Games for a 2013 release, and possibly as a PlayStation 4 launch window title.

Killzone 4 IS most definitely in the works (Guerrilla Games confirmed this in 2011), and while its target console is still up-in-the-air, a 2013 release on PS4 makes sense; our own sources confirmed to us that PlayStation 4 will launch this November. Much like Killzone 2 redefined visual fidelity with an impossibly good-looking trailer at E3 2006, we expect that Killzone 4 will astound us and raise internet cries of doubt.

Those cries of doubt will be silenced when, much like Killzone 2 before it, the final product will actually look better than pre-release trailers.

Stay tuned to PSU.com for all things Killzone and PlayStation 4, and check out our predictions for the PS4 reveal event on February 20.

As well as killzone 4, i would like to see a new motorstorm as a launch title and even a new resistance-fall of man.  All these were shown before the launch of the PS3 but both killzone and motorstorm had trailers with pre rendered graphics which were a lot more advanced than what the PS3 could do, but maybe not with the PS4?

Also with the new GTA coming out in September, an updated version for the PS4 would be a logical move.  If Sony could make a deal with Rockstar to include this as a launch title with six months exclusivity, this could put them firmly ahead of Microsoft regarding sales, depending what launch titles they have up their sleeve.  Also GTA 5 as a PS4 launch title would blow my mind.

So the Killzone 2 lauch was a bit revolutionary with it's graphics, but the 3rd was just a minor upgrade from that. I would hope for some serious graphics and gameplay upgrades to buy another one on the ps4.

    ...wow...no kidding.

The PS4 is right around the corner and there hasnt been anything new about Killzone for a console in like 2 years. Was there really anyone that DIDN'T think the next KZ would be on the PS4? HEY Guess where the next Gran Turismo is going to appear!? If you said PS4 you're PSYCHIC!!!

Me too I'm waiting for killzone on Vita, but I think we'll most likely to see Killzone 4 coming after launch, something tells me it's gonna get pushed back!

It would be awsome if the next instalment took place on earth, it would be nice to get away from all the blacks, browns, and greys of Helghan. I do also miss Visari's powerful speeches in the intros.
