UPDATE: Game Informer has received comment from Telltale Games indicating that CEO Dan Connors misspoke in his interview with Eurogamer. The Walking Dead Season 2 is actually on track to release THIS year - Fall 2013.
ORIGINAL: Speaking to Eurogamer, Telltale Games CEO Dan Connors confirmed that his studio is pushing to release Season 2 of the critically acclaimed The Walking Dead episodic saga late next year.
Specifically, Connors says, "We're aiming for fall next year." Eurogamer also asked Connors about writer Gary Whitta's hint of more Season 1 content before the release of Season 2. "He's been sacked," Connors joked. "We'll probably have something to announce fairly soon about what we're going to do."
Given Season 2's purported release timing, PlayStation 4 seems to be the de facto platform. "I love that [Sony's] going to invest in the connected experience," Connors said. "I think there's a lot of room for us to grow there and take advantage of that and create new experiences with the stats and the shared experiences. There's a huge opportunity there."
What would you like to see in a second season of The Walking Dead? Any hopes for Season 1 DLC? Let us know in the comments below.
