BioShock: Infinite review round-up

Bye-bye Rapture, hello Columbia. Irrational Games’ latest entry in the BioShock franchise, BioShock: Infinite, abandons the trappings of Andrew Ryan’s underwater metropolis and reaches for the skies, with the action set in 1912 across a vast floating city.

Playing as former agent Booker DeWitt, gamers must navigate Columbia alongside partner Elizabeth while battling against a diverse range of enemies and resisting the taunts of local objectivist, Father Comstock. Fortunately, you’ll have access to plenty of weapons and Vigors (essentially Infinite’s version of BioShock’s Plasmids) to see you through this action-packed adventure.

Indeed, it’s been a long wait for Ken Levine’s latest baby, having originally announced the shooter back in 2010; however, anticipation has never faltered, even after a string of delays. And, with the game finally out tomorrow, reviews for BioShock: Infinite have started floating in, and the reception has been universally positive.

PSU.com’s review will be up later in the week as we weren’t lucky enough to get our hands on the game as early as others, but for now, here’s a nice round-up of the latest review scores.
