Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag getting novel, art, and strategy guide
For long-time fans of the Assassin's Creed franchise who are eagerly looking to take to the waters this autumn, Ubisoft has revealed three books they will be releasing to engulf fans in the Black Flag experience: a novel, an art book, and a strategy guide.
The novel, written by Oliver Bowden, will be published by Penguin in the UK on November 7 and in the US on November 26, with no confirmed debut for the novel elsewhere. The novel puts readers in the shoes of Edward Kenway, who starts from humble beginnings and rises to become a pivotal player in the Templar-Assassin conflict. How, or if, the novel will tie into the narrative of its video game counterpart is unknown.
The official art book, published by Titan books and dubbed The Art of Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag, will become available starting October 28. The first 500 copies sold will be a special slipcase edition, containing two exclusive, signed concept art prints.
Lastly, Prima and Piggyback will be publishing the official strategy guide, an all-inclusive walkthrough made by the development team. For those looking to get that beloved Platinum trophy, this guide will explicitly light the way. It will be releasing alongside the game on an unconfirmed date between late October and early November.
