The Last Guardian development 'alive and kicking'

The president of Sony Worldwide Studios has reiterated that The Last Guardian is still very much in development.
Confusion surrounding the status of Team ICO’s elusive PlayStation 3 adventure has run rampant following comments from Sony America boss Jack Tretton, who said the game was ‘on hiatus.'
“It’s alive and kicking in terms of development,” Yoshida-san told CVG, “If you visit Japan Studio there are lots of people working on it.
“But as [designer Fumito Ueda] shared with people a couple of months ago, we really want to be confident next time when we introduce The Last Guardian to the public, so we are waiting for that time to come.”
This is the second time Yoshida-san has countered Tretton’s statement, having previously confirmed to Kotaku that the game was still in the works.
The Last Guardian was originally unveiled during Sony’s E3 2009 press conference, and was supposedly scheduled for a holiday 2011 launch. The game was then delayed, and numerous roadblocks have compounded its development ever since, including the departure of several key members of staff.
Rumors have circulated that the project has been quietly moved to PS4, although nothing official has ever been confirmed.
