Seven minutes of Strider gameplay for the weekend

Last night, news broke that Capcom and Double Helix Games are bringing a reboot of Strider, the 1989 arcade platforming classic, to PlayStation 4 and PS3 early next year.

We've already got more goodies to share: seven minutes of gameplay from the title, which will blend fast platforming and a demand for strong reflexes with a good deal of world exploration.

I could just call it Metroidvania, but I'm getting tired of that word's overuse. So while you watch the trailer below, think of a good replacement word or phrase and drop it in the comments below.
