The latest issue of Famitsu magazine has confirmed that Arc System Works is chiselling away on an updated version on Persona 4 Arena.
According to the publication, this updated edition of the brawler will feature two new characters – Yukari Takeba and Junpei Iori – with location tests scheduled to kick off this weekend Japanese arcades.
In addition, it’ll also introduce ‘shadow’ versions of each character, though Persona 4 Arena master ‘Stunedge’ has revealed on Twitter that they won’t be able to perform Burst attacks.
Elsewhere, the new Shadow Rage mode gives fighters temporary access to an unlimited amount of SP skills, skill boosts etc, which allow for ‘mega combos.’
Existing combatants have received new moves and their existing repertoire has also been tweaked somewhat.
At present it remains unknown if this new content will make its way to home consoles, though we’ll be sure to keep you posted.
