Assassin's Creed Liberation HD announced, due early 2014

Ubisoft has confirmed on the PlayStation Blog that Assassin’s Creed Liberation HD is officially coming to PlayStation Network.

Formally a PlayStation Vita-exclusive, Assassin’s Creed Liberation HD will feature improved visuals, extra missions, a re-mastered soundtrack and fresh sound effects. The game is also coming to PC and Xbox 360.

Liberation follows the exploits of Aveline de Grandpre, the series’ first female assassin, as she battles the Templars throughout Louisiana in the dying days of the French and Indian War.

The game is powered by the AnvilNext engine – the same tech that powered Assassin’s Creed III – and as such shares many gameplay similarities, including the ability to scale trees and a revamped combat system.

Assassin’s Creed Liberation HD has yet to receive a release date.

Stay tuned to for more details.
