PS4 gets Sportsfriends, a collection of imaginative indie games

Sportsfriends is a charming collection of four indie titles coming to PlayStation 3 and home computers. The package, which emphasizes local multiplayer and PlayStation Move support, was funded via Kickstarter last December, but New York-based developer Die Gute Fabrik has a surprise for backers and curious gamers alike: Sportsfriends is coming to PS4 at, or shortly after, the launch of its PS3 version.
The games in the collection defy explanation, but producer Dave Wilson assures the PlayStation faithful that accommodations are made for those without Move controllers, which only feature in one game: Johann Sebastian Joust. And even Johann Sebastian Joust can be played with a DualShock, though Wilson says it "works especially well with the Move controller."
Backers who supported Sportsfriends' Kickstarter with $15 or more have a guaranteed digital copy of the PS3 version already, but will be able to play the PS4 version at no extra cost. For non-backers interested in buying the PS3 version, Die Gute Fabrik hasn't decided whether Sportsfriends will support Cross-Buy for the PS4 port.
