The Last of Us’ first chunk of single-player DLC has been confirmed today by developer Naughty Dog.
Left Behind will be released in early 2014 and takes place before the events of the post-apocalyptic adventure’s main campaign. The DLC will focus on Ellie and her best friend Riley, who are attending a military boarding school in the Boston quarantine zone.
As expected, gamers will take control of Ellie for the duration of expansion.
Said Naughty Dog: “Just as The Last of Us focused on the bond between Ellie and Joel, Left Behind explores the bond between Ellie and Riley through a series of events that will forever change both of their lives.”
Left Behind is masterminded by creative director Neil Druckmann and game director Bruce Straley. Ashley Johnson will once again return to reprise her role as Ellie, while newcomer Yaani King will portray Riley.
The DLC will set you back $14.99. Read our review of The Last of Us here and stay tuned for more information.
