Bully: Bullworth Academy trademarked filled by Rockstar, sequel in the works?

Bully Bullworth Academy: Canis Canem Edit has been trademarked by Rockstar Games.

Spotted by JunkieMonkeys, the trademarked was filled on November 20 with the EU trademark office. This is the second time Bully has popped up this year, with publisher Take-Two having updated its U.S. trademark filing in July.

Bully, for those who don’t know, was released in 2006 on the PlayStation 2, and takes place at a New England boarding school, Bullworth Academy. The game received positive reviews from critics at the time, and was soon ported to Xbox and Wii in 2008.

While a sequel has yet to materialize, it isn’t hard to imagine that we could see a follow-up for next-generation systems, or perhaps even a HD re-release of the original to gauge consumer interest.
