Fallout 4 in development, casting call reveals Boston setting

Leaked casting call documents have confirmed that a new Fallout game, presumably Fallout 4, is in development. Kotaku has leaked casting call documents (via an anonymous source) that heavily suggest the game is set in the Boston, Massachusetts area known as the Commonwealth in Fallout lore.

Though Fallout itself is never actually mentioned in the documents, there is a narrative introduction that begins with a line used at the beginning of every Fallout game, “War. War never changes.” Other Fallout specific references include enemies known as raiders, a mission taking place in the Institute--likely based on the Massachusetts Institute of Technology--and Commonwealth Minutemen.

Just about everything concerning these developments could change, but Kotaku has apparently confirmed the validity of the documents--again, with an anonymous source.

This news comes on the heels of a recently debunked Fallout 4 teaser site. Rumors earlier in the year hinted at a new Fallout. A trademark for Fallout 4 was filed in Europe last month and Erik Todd Dellums tweeted back in January about possibly reprising his role as Three Dog, the enthusiastic DJ of Galaxy News Radio in Fallout 3.

Bethesda has yet to confirm the existence of a new Fallout game in development. PSU will keep you posted on any new developments.
