The game will be coming to Japan some time in 2014, and will be hitting Europe at some point though a firm date has yet to be confirmed. Expect it in 2015, most probably.
Here’s some gossip from the Tales series Chief Producer, Makoto Yoshizumi:
"2015 marks the 20th anniversary for the 'Tales of' franchise in Japan and I would like to thank all the fans who have supported us for the past two decades from the bottom of my heart.
"In recent years we have received anticipation for the series not only from Japan, but from overseas fans as well. Because of this I feel that the Tales of series has more potential than ever before. For this reason we are taking this opportunity to announce Tales of Zestiria as a worldwide release. This title will be going back to the roots of the series and boldly exclaim to the world 'this is Tales of!'"
Namco Bandai has officially unveiled the next chapter in the Tales franchise for PlayStation 3.
Tales of Zestiria was announced during a Nico Nico stream earlier today, and follows on from numerous teases, including a trademark filing and various postings on the official webpage.
PS3 wasn’t the only platform mentioned in the press briefing however, with PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita also discussed prior to the appearance of Hideo Baba, the director of the Tales series.
