Shenmue fans target Yoshida in the hope of PS4 sequel

Fans of SEGA’s Shenmue have taken to twitter to campaign directly to Shuhei Yoshida, President of Sony's Worldwide Studios for Sony Computer Entertainment, for the release of a new game in the popular open-world series.

It’s certainly an eye-catching way of grabbing his attention with fans taking photos and brandishing single letters that when placed together spell out the words “Please #SaveShenmue.


Yoshida has also responded to the plea by with some brief, yet encouraging words...

 In December, SEGA sent out a tweet with an image suggesting that Shenmue 3 could be in the works. The picture (shown below) showed protagonist Ryo Hazuki riding a vehicle with the words 'Shen 3' visible on the license plate.
