Ubisoft says Japan is 'possible' setting for Assassin's Creed 5

The creative director on Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag has offered some tantalizing info as to where the next installment in the historical action-adventure series will take place.

Speaking to VG247, Jean Guesdon commented, “Feudal Japan remains - like numerous other time periods and locations - a possible future setting for the franchise.

“Thanks to the Animus, the entire human history is our playground.”

Of course, this isn’t the only setting being thrown around for Assassin’s Creed V. Egypt remains a possibility, as does Victorian London, although nothing has been set in stone as of yet.

From the sound of it though, Feudal Japan is the popular choice, and we probably won’t have to wait too long to find out. The next Assassin’s Creed title is likely to be announced in the next few months, as has been the case with previous entries.
