Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA F 2nd opening movie revealed, Japanese release delayed

Sega revealed both good and bad news about the upcoming rhythm game Hatsune Miku Project Diva F 2nd recently. On the plus side, the Japanese company posted the game's opening video, featuring the song "Decorator" by livetune. Unfortunately, Vocaloid fans will need to wait a little bit longer due to the Japanese launch date pushed from March 6 to March 27.

The delay is to "further improve" the quality of Project Diva F 2nd, Sega explained on their Hatsune Miku blog. The game will still come out for both the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita. Thus far, a release outside Japan is not confirmed but not impossible. The PS3 version of the previous game, Hatsune Miku Project Diva F, sold well enough in the West to warrant localizing the Vita version for early 2014.

Hatsune Miku Project Diva is a rhythm game franchise based on the popular mascot characters of the voice synthesizer software created by Crypton Future Media, using Yamaha's Vocaloid technology. The series' first game premiered on the PlayStation Portable in 2009. Since then, most Project Diva titles are exclusive to Sony platforms and continue to be great sellers in Japan. Thanks to an overwhelming response, Sega finally brought Miku and friends to gamers abroad last August with Hatsune Miku Project Diva F for the PS3.
