Yakuza 5 closing in on western release -- rumor

A rumour has emerged that Yakuza 5 will be localised for English-speaking audiences.

The rumour appeared in the pages of Electronic Gaming Monthly, with the relevant extract posted on GearNuke. EGM's multi-monikered Quatermann writes, "In fact, the Q-Gangzta even has this exclusive tidbit: Don't rule out Yakuza 5 coming to America under the Atlus banner."

SEGA is the publisher and developer of instalments in the Yakuza series, but Atlus has been recently purchased by the company.

The last Yakuza title made available to Western gamers was zombie spin-off Yakuza: Dead Souls, and you can check out our review for it here.
