Sniper Elite 3 PS4 will run 'closer to 60fps,' dev aiming for 'full parity' for next-gen systems

505 Games has suggested that the PlayStation 4 version of Sniper Elite 3 may run slightly faster than the Xbox One release.

Speaking during an interview with GamingBolt, the game’s Senior Producer, Jean-Baptiste Bolcato, said that developer Rebellion is looking to get “as close as possible to 60 frames per second on both the systems.

"It will probably be closer to 60 on the PS4 but it drops to around 40 and 50, but you won't really feel or notice it," he explained. "It may be a little bit slower on Xbox One but we are hoping to have full [parity] between the two machines."

Sniper Elite III is a continuation of the popular World War II-based sniper franchise, and includes a wealth of new features, chief among which is an XP system. Here, gamers can receive various perks such as weapon customisation and new loadouts, while the game also supports better stealth mechanics, a co-op mode and full multiplayer.

The game is scheduled to ship for PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC later this year.
