After weeks of speculation pointing in the same direction, it’s finally been confirmed that Batman: Arkham Knight is scheduled for release across next-generation platforms.

In a listing found on videogame retailer’s website, GAME.co.uk, the game will take players back to the iconic city in a do-or-die battle against all-star cast of classic villains, from Scarecrow to Penguin, in an explosive, ultimate finale. Also, the Batmobile will be available for usage for the very first time - news that will no doubt be welcomed by all fans of the caped crusader.

Batman: Arkham Knight is expected to have a full reveal in this month’s Game Informer – which is scheduled for release at some point this week. As ever, give us your views on the closing of the Rocksteady’s Arkham trilogy – and stay tuned for the inevitable developments.
