Troy Baker interested in The Last of Us 2 return

The voice actor behind one of the main protagonists of The Last of Us has expressed interest in reprising the role in a potential sequel.

Speaking with IGN, Troy Baker, who voices gruff hero Joel in the post-apocalyptic adventure, said he would definitely be up for The Last of Us 2 if the game is made.

“Of course [I'd come back]. What I love again is they’re not going to tell a story if they don’t have one to tell. The Last of Us is not a money grab. Left Behind, that DLC, is something that was very very specific and served a purpose. I loved it, I thought it was two of the best hours of gameplay that I’ve had in a long time.

“If there’s a role for me in something in the future to do with The Last of Us, absolutely I would do it, twice on Sunday.”

Baker has appeared in a number of high-profile titles recently, including BioShock: Infinite (Booker DeWitt), Resident Evil 6 (Jake Muller), Silent Hill 2 HD (James Sunderland), inFamous: Second Son (Delsin Rowe) and Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII (Snow).

The Last of Us 2 has been hinted at by developer Naughty Dog recently, with the company admitting it is thinking about the possibility of doing a follow-up.
It later said there is a 50/50 chance of seeing a sequel.

According to a report on ComingSoon today, The Last of Us will be given the movie treatment via Screen Gems.
