British video game developer The Creative Assembly has released a new developer diary for its upcoming survival horror game, Alien: Isolation, detailing the creation of the menacing Alien and showcasing how the experienced team has forwarded to make the creature a formidably terrifying foe.

Looking to fulfill the likes of suspenseful cat-and-mouse gameplay, the game will place you in the shoes of Ellen Ripley’s daughter, Amanda. Looking to uncover the truth about her mother aboard the Sevastopol, she encounters a hair-raising creature that will force her to confront her survivalist proficiencies. It will take a horrifying, atmospheric crusade through the isolated trading station to succeed in her pursuit of the truth.

Alien: Isolation is slated for release later this year for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and Windows PC.
