PS4 to become lead platform for future Call of Duty titles -- report

Activision may be looking to switch its lead development stance on future Call of Duty titles, according to leaked information.

NeoGAF’s resident insider, Famous Mortimer is at it again, this time noting that Activision is looking to switch its usual Microsoft-led platform for future Call of Duty titles to that of PlayStation. Historically the Xbox 360 has taken the lead as the platform for development, but that could be changing if this information leak is anything to go by.

The switch in platforms will have little, if any, difference to the actual development of said games but it’s an interesting turn of events, especially in light of the recent report that EA was apologetic to PlayStation gamers over the Titanfall exclusivity to the Xbox One.

An apparent announcement is imminent from Activision according to Famous Mortimer, and as ever we’ll be at the front of the queue to give you the news here first. Give us your thoughts below.
