Broken Sword 5: The Serpent's Curse - Episode 1 is the first in an episodic series of point-and-click adventures that will continue the saga of Broken Sword, which last saw a new release in 2005. And this time around, the series is coming to PlayStation Vita.

Charles Cecil of Revolution Software thanks PlayStation fans for making this release possible, as Broken Sword 5 was funded via Kickstarter last year. Broken Sword actually has something of a grand tradition on PlayStation; as of Broken Sword 5's release, all but one of the series' core installments will have been on PlayStation platforms (the exception being the fourth entry, Broken Sword: The Angel of Death).

"Key members from the original Broken Sword team" join artists from Disney, Universal, and other studios to create a truly unique aesthetic. Broken Sword 5 also combines PS Vita's front touchscreen and rear touchpad with traditional analog and button controls for "an intuitive user interface."

Check out the screenshots below, and if you happen to give Broken Sword 5 a try when the PlayStation Store updates today, be sure to let us know what you think!
