Zombie romp Dying Light delayed until February 2015

Dying Light, the upcoming zombie romp from the hive minds of the critically-tepid Dead Island, has been delayed until February 2015, developer Techland has announced.

The delay comes after industry murmurs pointed towards issues with its original spring release back in March, which the developer flatly denied whilst speaking with U.S. magazine Game Informer. The news is now confirmed, however, leaving Techland with an extended period of polish on its hands – and rightfully so.

Speaking via a press release, the developers justified the newly-elongated release window by saying that ‘’the new date ensures that we can fully realize our vision of an innovative open world game. We won’t need to make compromises or trade-offs on any of the five platforms we’re working on. For you, it means an outstanding, original game that makes the wait more than worthwhile.”

Any game that receives a delay in order to live up to its original vision is a-okay with us – better to have a full, finished product rather than some rushed, half-baked shovelware.

Give us thoughts on the news of Dying Light’s delay below.
