Rockstar targets March 2015 for new PS4/Xbox One game
During a post-earnings financial call this week, Take-Two has confirmed that Rockstar Games will release a new game for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One before March 31, 2015, fuelling speculation that the Grand Theft Auto developer will make an appearance at E3 next month.
During the call, Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick said he is "very excited about what [Rockstar Games] have in store for next-gen systems," but didn’t go into details about the new game, which could be the arrival of Grand Theft Auto V on PS4 and Xbox One.
Take-Two also revealed that 33 million copies of GTA V have now been shipped since its release last year, helping them secure a profit for the fourth financial quarter of $21.5 million, down from $42.9 million year-on-year. For the entire financial year, Take-Two confirmed profits of $2.414 billion thanks to some huge titles including Bioshock Infinite, GTA Online and Borderlands 2.
