The day-one patch for upcoming shoot-’em-up Wolfenstein: The New Order on PlayStation 4 will weigh in at a hefty 5GB, according to a Twitter post by game owner Mark DeSanto (via GearNuke).
Of course, day-one patches are nothing new in this day and age, though 5GB is a pretty meaty download compared to most other games.
Elsewhere, the game’s publisher, Bethesda, has confirmed that players will need to have 47GB of free space on their hard drive for the PS4 release, while the PS3 version weighs in at 8GB. Finally, the PlayStation Network download of the title will clock in at 17GB.
Wolfenstein: The New Order is set in the year 1960, in an alternate history where the Nazis triumphed in World War II thanks to the application of superior technology. Players step into the boots of William “B.J.” Blazkowicz, who must launch a counter-offensive against the Third Reich at their stronghold in Europe.
The game also includes access to the planned DOOM beta for those who pre-order the title, and has been confirmed to run at 1080p/60fps on PS4.
Wolfenstein: The New Order will be marching into stores on May 20 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC.
