PlayStation Now private beta on PS4 launches tomorrow
Sony today announced that it will be launching the Private Beta program for PlayStation Now, the company's game-streaming service, on PlayStation 4 tomorrow, May 20.
Peter Jamshidi, director of strategic planning, wrote that "PS Now gives you the freedom to play select PlayStation 3 games like you already stream movies, TV, shows, and music – directly to your favorite PS Now compatible devices without any discs or downloads. The first supported devices launching in 2014 are PS4, PS3, select 2014 Bravia TVs, and PlayStation Vita, with more devices down the road."
Sony rolled out the PS Now Private Beta earlier this year to PS3 owners, and now it will be expanding its program to the PS4 audience. Access to the PS3 Private Beta program is also scheduled to grow "in the near future." If you've already registered, then keep in touch with your mailbox and look out for a voucher code.
In regards to the success of the program's activity, beta testers have reportedly spent more than 50,000 hours of gameplay on PS3. If you're looking to join the Private Beta community, then click here to register for a chance to participate.
