Bethesda casts doubt over Fallout 4 E3 reveal

The creator behind the Fallout franchise has dampened hopes that the next chapter in the post-apocalyptic RPG series will get a formal announcement at E3 in early June.
Bethesda’s PR guru Pete Hines made it clear during a post on Twitter that the company's next game - be it Fallout 4 or something completely different - won't see the light of day any time soon.
"1) I don't reallly pre-announce our announcements. 2) BGS will not be talking about its next game for a long time," said Hines.
Fallout 4, of course, has been rumored for some time now, and is widely believed to be next in line from Bethesda.
Typically, the developer flips between The Elder Scrolls and Fallout. Back in 2007, we had The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, which was followed in 2008 Fallout 3. The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim showed up in 2011, though was preceded by the Obsidian-developed Fallout: New Vegas the previous year.
As such, Fallout 4 should in theory be the next major project from Bethesda. It should be noted that The Elder Scrolls Online - due out on PS4 and Xbox One some six months from now - was made by ZeniMax Online Studios, not Bethesda.
