Sales figures released by Ubisoft today report that the company's latest AAA blockbuster, Watch Dogs, sold over 4 million copies worldwide in its first week.

The open-world hacking action game set a new record as Ubisoft's best-selling title ever in its first week. Watch Dogs already broke the publisher's 24 hour sales record as well.

The strong market performance of Watch Dogs makes it one of the most successful new IP launches in the gaming industry.

In the game, players take on the role of Aiden Pearce, a hacker who gains control of the city of Chicago's central operating system and seeks revenge for his niece's murder. Check out our full review here.
