Grim Fandango remake is a timed PS4 and Vita exclusive, will 'utilise community enhancements'

One of the most pleasant surprises from Sony’s E3 2014 press briefing was the announcement of the Grim Fandango remake exclusively for PS4 and Vita.

For those of you who were too young to remember its 1998 release, Grim Fandango was a dark comedy, neo-noir adventure game involving searching for collectibles and puzzle-solving. It received universal acclaim among reviewers but bombed commercially, gaining an army of core fans that went on to keep the game alive by creating their own patches, modifications and even an enhanced HD version.

In this retrospective video, we’re hear about the history of Tim Schafer’s beloved LucasArts classic and how why they’ve ended up wanting to make a remastered version. Interestingly, we’re told that the developer plans to utilise some of those community enhancements that have been made to the game over the years by its loyal fan-base.

You can watch the video below.
