E3 2014 Awards: Most Anticipated Game

Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End floored jaws following its brief tease at the climax of Sony’s E3 press briefing, and as such, it went on to become unequivocally PSU’s most anticipated game for the PlayStation 4. We’ve already extolled the virtues of Naughty Dog’s immaculately-crafted teaser here, in case you missed it. But yes, Uncharted 4 wowed us so much that no other game on PS4 in the near future has got us quivering with anticipation more than Nathan Drake’s next adventure--which sadly may very well be his last. Let’s not entertain the prospect of this being the final Uncharted just yet, though.
Right now, we’re just stoked to get to step back into Drake’s nimble boots yet again, as he finds himself on the trail of a legendary pirate treasure in what appears to be his darkest adventure to date. We’re eager to find out just how and why our cocky hero is stranded on that shoreline, and why the stakes seem so high. Is Drake’s relationship with Elena in jeopardy? What nefarious individual is the driving force behind the plot? Will Sully’s dress sense ever improve? There are so many questions, and the answers lie in the not-too-distant future when the game lands on shelves next year. Naughty Dog delivered some of the most gripping and gorgeous experiences of all time on PlayStation 3, and Uncharted 4 is poised to set a new industry standard for action-adventure games for the new generation. We can’t wait.
Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End will arrive exclusively on PS4 next year.
