E3 2014 Awards: Best Vita Game

Sony’s PlayStation Vita may have had a somewhat low-key performance at E3 this year, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t a great selection of games coming up worth your attention. Tales of Hearts R by publisher Namco Bandai Games is a title that easily impressed us the most, however. A remake of the original DS release, this vibrant JRPG feels right at home on PS Vita, which has already proven to be a fantastic home for sprawling, narrative-driven games with hits like Persona 4: The Golden. It’s not just the fact that Tales of Hearts R is mechanically-solid, either: the PS Vita release boasts a wealth of new content over its original incarnation to enjoy, including full voice overs, lush 3D visuals, and two all-new playable characters.

We’re massive fans of Namco’s Tales games here at PSU, and clapping eyes on this glorious remake was enough to convince us that it’s definitely the PS Vita title to watch out for going forward. Look out for Tales of Hearts R in Q4 2014.
