Assassin's Creed Unity even bigger than Black Flag's Caribbean islands

The producer behind Assassin’s Creed Unity has revealed that the game’s open-world Paris setting is significantly larger than its predecessor’s caribbean playground.

Lesley Phord-Toy told OPM UK that the the upcoming historical stealth-action sequel, which takes place during the French Revolution, is bigger than all of Black Flag’s sun-baked landmassess combined.

That’s pretty impressive, considering last year’s pirate-themed outing was noted for having a particularly vast world to explore. Of course, the caribbean sea accounted for a substantial chunk of the map, but it was still a grand achievement.

One of the new additions to Unity will be the inclusion of co-op during the main campaign. And Ubisoft is confident players will embrace this side of the game, with Creative Director, Alexander Amancio, commenting:

“We expect players to play about a third of their total game time in shared experience modes. Moreover, we have conceived these missions to be played and replayed in different ways. Players will explore their own environments and create their own opportunities.”

Assassin’s Creed Unity is scheduled for release on PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One on October 28.
