Naughty Dog has taken to Twitter to tease some more details regarding its hotly anticipated PlayStation 4 action-adventure titles, Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End and The Last of Us: Remastered.
First up is the studios’ 3D Environment Artist, Anthony Vaccaro, who made it clear the locations in Nathan Drake’s next outing will be nothing short of impressive.
“Had an Environment Art review for #Uncharted4 today looking at what everyone has been working on. Exciting stuff! :D" he said.
Moving on to The Last of Us: Remastered, and Jason Gregory, Lead Programmer on the post-apocalyptic horror, revealed a few interesting tidbits on the game.
“Yeah, we use a lot of Linux and Cygwin cmd line tools. Old school, but you can’t beat the power!"
He also confirmed that the title is approaching gold status, meaning development is almost complete.
Finally, Peter Field, a former designer at Naughty Dog, will deliver a keynote titled ‘Giving Back Control: The Last of Us’ at the forthcoming Developer Conference later this summer.
“Peter is talking about how he created key story beats in The Last of Us using in game mechanics and gameplay. Taking what he learned from that project Peter talks about where he would like to see game narrative go next,” reads the official blurb.
Uncharted 4 has yet to attract a release date, though it is believed the game will arrive in 2015. The Last of Us: Remastered, meanwhile, will hit stores in the U.S. on July 29 and in Europe on August 1.
