NIS America released a new Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair second trailer showcasing the game’s class trials and the wacky mini-games players will encounter during them.

The Hunger Games/Battle Royale-meets-Phoenix Wright sequel finds a new cast of Peak’s Hope Academy students on a field trip who become trapped on a tropical island by the sadistic robotic bear Monokuma. They are given the option to leave if they can murder a fellow classmate and be found innocent by the class trial.

Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair will release for the PlayStation Vita on September 2 in North America and September 5 in Europe.

The first game was a captivating visual novel and puzzle thriller that’s among the Vita’s most unique titles. Check out our review here. Danganronpa’s popularity propelled it to become a franchise that includes novels, manga, and an anime adaptation, which is available streaming via Funimation.
