Three new Killzone 2 screenshots have surfaced on the Internet this morning, one of which shows off the impressive work Guerilla Games has done to provide amazingly realistic ground textures.
Notice the definition of each individual rock and the glistening lighting effect in the pools of water. This is just one of many visual highlights the hotly anticipated sequel promises to deliver upon its release in February 2009.
Check out the screenshots below.

I agree with Limmex, The graphics look great, let's see how the game plays and see if all this hype is worth it. Maybe a beta or a downloadable demo in the near future would be nice.

this game will show how much the Unreal engine 3 sucks, which is used for almost every FPS with choppy framerate, slowdown, over loading RAM on consoles, perfect example: area51.blacksite, brothers in arm h ells highway.

wow, usually i also care about gameplay, but when it looks this good...i almost wanna play it JUST to look at it, Gameplay to me is important, but for some reason im not worried about it when i see screens of this game
and remember all. Screenshots dont do games justice anymore, jus wait till we see it moving

I have to agree with zarajoe, everyone has talked about the E3 video from 2005 and how it was all faked. Look at the development of this game and the graphics and style have surpassed that video by leaps and bounds. As a person who loved the first game I can't wait for Feb 09. -

Killzone 2 and G.O.W 3 will take the ps3 a huge step further than the xbox360.

i'm probably going to get flamed by the pc tech heads here but ive played crysis on high settings and this game looks better im sorry but it does, not to say crysis isnt a technical feat because that game does look amazing but this game does top it

Looks sweet, I'm just not sure I have faith in this game though after seeing it's E3 stuff

Looks quite nice nothing different to games out now, lets see some mist hovering above the floor and bubbling gasses in puddles etc like you would in DX10.gamesif it cant be done on the PS3 then its old hardware already.
I think the PS4 should have changeable hardware like a PC so developer can upgrade the graphics after a couple of years and all we need to do is update the video processer. and for those who dont upgrade it will have to play games on normal textures while the upgraded versions can use more textures more layers ect. just a though.

Awsome, I'm all for Visual Excellence, but, do characters 'moonwalk' or 'slide' their feet on the ground in games still ? This has been a realism annoyance ive had for years....

If this is real time, Xbots can say not another word about graphics. HOLY CRIZZOLIES! Also, the enviroment in the second screen is one of the enviroments that never gets old for me; i am reminded slightly of the first mission of MOHAA, actually.
