Pandemic planning Mercenaries 2 demo

Cameron Brown, Creative Director at Pandemic Studios, has said that the company is planning on releasing a demo of its upcoming action sequel, Mercenaries 2: World in Flames.
Speaking to Eurogamer, Brown commented, "I'm not sure of dates or anything like that but yes, we want to do a demo.”
In addition, Brown also unveiled plans to support the game via downloadable content, adding, "There has been a lot of effort and energy put into downloadable content. We have it up and running on the consoles where you can trigger it and do it.
"We're definitely playing with it and it's definitely something we see as an enormous opportunity," he continued.
Mercenaries 2: World in Flames is scheduled for release on PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3, PC and Xbox 360 on September 5, 2008.

I have to agree with you.. I loved the first game but it seems odd to have next gen game on old gen system.. I hope they made them completly different teams. Sounds like EA lol.. If its as good as the first one i'll be happy. I just want to see how well they did destructive environment, so far every game that claims to have that is just dumb and never works well.

@ Jstufly: All they have to do is tone-down the 360 version to an SD resolution. They've already got the disc size down to DVD, they just need to code it over.

marcenaries 2 is being created by a different studio using the same engine used for mercenaries 1... so this game wont be ruined by last gen, but wont be as good as it could have been if made just for the ps3... DAMN XBOX 360!
ill still be getting it, it looks fun, ill try out the demo first though...

@ Alti: I can't tell you how many the first sold, but I do know it wasn't garbage. It was one of the lesser known games but it was a good one, like Drakengard.
