Rockstar says, "GTA IV demo unlikely"

Rockstar has pretty much confirmed that there is likely to never be a demo of Grand Theft Auto IV to hit the PlayStation Network. According to a Rockstar representative, they feel that a demo wouldn't be worth the time and effort and that they'd much rather put their time into delivering a beautiful game. We can only thank them for that much, though a demo would be great, we'd much rather have a nicely polished title to enjoy fully at the end of April.
"I'm sure there won't be. If there was we would have talked about it. With a game like this the guys at Rockstar North will want to spend every minute making the game look great. Most people know the concept of GTA anyway. I don't know that the demo is worth the time and effort."
He also added in the following, "Also much of GTA 4 is the driving around and we wouldn't be able to give out the whole city. We would have to give away half the game for free. People would think Liberty City is a tiny city. You run into problems."
So don't get your hopes up in waiting for this to show up on a Thursday. You'll just have to enjoy waiting like the rest of us. We'll let you know if this changes or anything else is confirmed for the highly anticipated title.

How could they? It's too big of a world. No way could they make it down to a demo size.

hmm has this not been reported like a million times !!? Was never expecting a demo..the game doesn't need it anyway, people have already decided whether or not they want it !! ^_^

A demo, I think, would be feasible, but would probably not show off the game in all its required pomp and grandeur.
Then again, it would be beneficial on Rockstar's part if they could at least show what the rest of the un-informed gaming world is missing out on. How so? With a demo, of course. -

@encryptioncsta, yeah the 7th best selling video game franchise of all time, soon to be at least 5th, is a piece of crap. You should go buy a wii. I wouldn't want a demo of this game. I just want the full version so I can experience it all at once.

Why would you need a demo the game will be the same like the rest of them. And yes I already have it pre-ordered can't wait April 29th.
