Ebay tightens up on PS3 Auctions

About this time last year, Ebay was getting a lot of attention and publicity due to several scams and mis-represented auctions using the XBox 360 as bait.
I am sure you remember Xbox 360 boxes selling for thousands, and email addresses selling for hundreds, all to people who thought they were bidding on the systems themselves. Well, Ebay is taking a stand against these scams, and has learned from last year.
Ebay has set up strict rules for people wishing to sell PS3's using their service. These rules include a photocopy of the seller's driver's license, a copy of a credit card statement, and proof of ownership of the console.
Hopefully, these new rules will have a positive impact on auctions this time around, but please remember to be cautious when shopping Ebay for a PS3 as there are sure to be some mishaps this year as well, and maybe give the camping out method a second thought..
