I'm new here, though not exactly new. I've been browsing these forums a while ago but did not register an account now. But forget this, I've a question about custom computers. Is it hard to build your own custom computer, do you require any skills in computer engineering, or is it like just assembling parts to a case? I've been wanted to create my own computer because my computer as of right now is OUTDATED by 4-6 years? Not very sure. These are the specs. of my outdated computer, lol well I can't really remember all but I'm going to type down the basics I know of.

Pentium Processor 4 CPU 1700Mhz
256 RAM(I think x_X)
Radeon 8500 graphics card
The HDD I'm not entirely sure, but! I think its only 20gb.(sucks...I know)

Thats all I remember......

Well...help is appreciated.

:D

I personally think building a computer is very easy. Everyone thinks, omg a computer thats got to be hard. But in reality you save yourself tons of money and you actually know exactly whats going into your computer. Most important thing is just make sure your static free, and the rest is easy. Just read directions if you come across something you dont know how to do.

Yeh, and i would EXTREAMLY recommend holding onto your cash untill the second half of 2006, AMD are making some new stuff that will make all the old stuff drop in price. Either that or you can buy the new stuff.

Amd's new M2 socket will make ways for absolute Trail blazing performance with DDR2 RAM!

It's not hard to build your PC, quite easy actually. Most of the main parts are easy to attach, as explained in their manuals, as for the others, the net will provide alot of guides on how to do it.

wow your PC is almost the same as mine. :) I got 1800 Mhz, 256 MB RAM, and a NVIDIA or ATI card. I do have larger hard drive though, but it has like 1 GB left out of 80 GB.

I remember this getting fixed a long, long time ago, but apparently it's still present on wallpapers. This should be very easy to fix.
